Fact Friday 266 - Bringing the "City" to You

Happy Friday!

#VoteCLT - Make your voice heard!

It's October and officially election season. So make sure that you're registered to vote! Back in the 1970s, that meant a stop the City of Charlotte's Mobile City Hall, a converted Winnebago that brought city government services out into the community, including voter registration. Each week, the Mobile City Hall followed a published schedule, traveling to different shopping centers and neighborhoods around Charlotte. In its first year alone, more than 10,000 Charlotteans either registered to vote or made updates to their voter registration information at the Mobile City Hall.

Until next week!
